About

I started The Expat Counsellor to provide professional online counselling for expats living in Southeast Asia, because I am one too. Living here is a rewarding experience, but it can bring unique challenges: feelings of loneliness; homesickness; wondering if we “fit in”; and uncertainty about the choices we’ve made. As expats, we’re often navigating unfamiliar situations without our usual support networks nearby.
I’m a registered counsellor in Australia with a Master of Counselling, trained in a range of therapeutic approaches that I tailor to your individual needs. My goal is to provide supportive and effective therapy where you can explore what’s going on for you – whether it’s anxiety, grief, life changes, depression, or the stress of adapting to life in a new country.
Having lived in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand, I understand first-hand the emotional and psychological demands of expat life in Southeast Asia. I’m here to support you as you adjust, grow, and find your footing so you don’t have to navigate it all on your own.
Counselling and therapy for expats, by an expat
The Expat Counsellor offers tailored counselling services for expats in South East Asia, especially those living in Cambodia, Thailand or Vietnam. Whether you’re struggling with culture shock, facing anxiety or depression, or simply need someone to talk to who understands the complexities of expat life in South East Asia, I’m here to help. I have a Master of Counselling and am registered with the Australian Counselling Association, so you can be sure that you are working with an experienced professional.
My goal is to provide a confidential counselling experience where you feel comfortable in exploring your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Together, we’ll work through any personal or emotional challenges, so you can thrive in your new environment and build a life that feels fun and satisfying as an expat.
